King Midas and the Golden Touch book was written by Charlotte Craft in July 1998.
King Midas and the Golden Touch is a story of King Midas, he was a ruler of Persia and richest man but still greedy and carved for more wealth. He has a lovely daughter named Marigold and loves her so much.
One day an angel appeared in front of him and grant him to ask one wish. King Midas asked him to give his hands a power so if he touches anything that converted into gold and an angel fulfilled his wish.
King Midas was happy but now he can’t even eat food because whenever he touches anything that converts into Gold. His daughter Marigold asks for his worries but when he touched to adore her, she also converted into Gold.
King Midas learned his lesson and just wants her daughter to get normal, an angel appeared again and ask King Midas to take some water from the river and sprinkle it on her daughter and Marigold get back to normal. King Midas afterwords never run after wealth.
The story gives us such a great lesson to never run after money and be happy with what you get.
My rating for the book is 5/5.
